Joyful sewing courses for absolute beginners or sewers with some experience. Buy a block of five 1:1 hour long classes for yourself or as a gift. Learn to operate a sewing machine, get your sewing ‘L’ plates and make your first garment step by step with our instructor Emma.
One-off sewing classes including a sewing refresher, Sewing pattern 101 (learn to read and cut a sewing pattern) and Overlocker basics are 2 hours long.
What’s included? Use of tools, haberdashery and a sewing pattern. Bring your own sewing machine or use our machines. Tea or coffee & cake provided, send us your dietary requirements.

Garment repairs & alterations
MEND. repair garments in our home studio. Services include replacing zips, elastic and other common fastenings. Repairs of wear and tear such as patching holes or damage to textiles.
Alterations to garments, such as shortening or lengthening sleeves, trouser legs or skirt length. Adjusting garment fit for comfort.

COVID safety is important to our tutors, visitors and clients.
For this reason masks are provided for all 1:1 classes. Tutors are fully vaccinated, boosted and wear visors for teaching activities.
You will need to show a negative lateral flow test to attend a course appointment, workshop or training event. Appointments can be rescheduled where a test result is positive.
